At JAY ENGINEERING, our Ring Plunger Set Torpedo is engineered with precision and durability in mind. Constructed from high-grade nitro alloy steel, each set is heat-treated to a hardness of 30/32 RC in either ‘S’ or ‘T’ condition. Through our advanced machining process, both the inner (0.5 mm) and outer layers (1 mm) are accurately achieved for optimal performance.
During processing, we reduce the bottom hardness by 2 RC to relieve internal stress, ensuring dimensional stability. This stress relief is followed by precision grinding of both inner and outer diameters. To further enhance durability, the surface undergoes gas nitriding, increasing hardness up to 64/66 RC with a case depth of 0.5–0.6 mm, guaranteeing superior wear resistance and longevity in industrial applications.
